My Story
Hi there! Welcome to The Mitzvah Shop, where creativity and kindness come together! My name is Jacob Lerner, and I am starting this shop as part of my mitzvah project as I become a bar mitzvah. I love making cool things like 3D-printed designs and handmade greeting cards, and I wanted to use my hobbies to help make a difference.
The best part? All the money I raise goes to The Jewish Federation. Giving back to others is important to me, and this shop is my way of combining something I enjoy with something meaningful.
Every product in my shop is made with care and imagination. Thank you for visiting and supporting my journey. Together, we can turn small creations into big impacts!
The Jewish Federation
My first encounter with the Jewish Federation was through PJ Library books, which I loved receiving as a kid. But the Jewish Federation does much more than provide books. They help communities around the world, responding to crises like hurricanes, wildfires, and conflicts in places like Ukraine. They deliver critical aid to vulnerable populations, including the elderly, children, and families in need. When Israel is threatened, the Federation mobilizes its networks to provide immediate support and advocacy. They also connect Jewish people of all backgrounds, offering programs that celebrate Jewish culture, fund travel opportunities like Birthright Israel, and support leadership development. Their focus on community, volunteering, and philanthropy strengthens Jewish life and makes a lasting impact worldwide.
